Calling all writers! Bristol Short Story Prize 2018 is open for entries

Pens at the ready! The 2018 Bristol Short Story Prize, in association with Tangent Books, is open for entries.
Writers from around the world can enter, whether published or unpublished.
Shortlisted stories will be published in the Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology Volume 11. The winner and two runners-up will be selected from the shortlist and announced at an awards ceremony in Bristol in October 2018.
First prize is £1,000, second prize is £700, third prize is £400. Seventeen further prizes of £100 will be presented to the remaining 20 shortlisted writers, plus all shortlisted writers will receive two free copies of the anthology.

How to enter the Bristol Short Story Prize 2018
The closing date for entries is midnight (BST) 1 May 2018. The maximum word limit is 4,000, there is no minimum. Stories may be on any theme or subject and entry can be made online or by post. There is an £8 entry fee for all stories submitted and entries must be previously unpublished.
The judging panel will be chaired by literary agent, Kate Johnson. Kate is joined on the panel by editor, Lucy Cowie, and writers Roshi Fernando and Polly Ho-Yen.
