Turmeric and chamomile hot milk recipe
- 2 cups
Combine calming chamomile with reassuring warm milk – it's the perfect recipe for a great night's sleep

This soothing recipe blends a mixture of spices with chamomile to help you ease into a good night’s sleep after a stressful day.
Ingredients
- Turmeric 2 tsp
- Ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp
- Fresh root ginger 1 1/4 cm, peeled and grated
- Ground cardamom 1/4 tsp
- Ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp
- Virgin coconut oil 2 tsp
- Brewed chamomile tea 1/4 cup, warm
- Almond milk 1 cup
- Clove 1
- Raw organic honey or pure maple syrup 1 tsp
Method
-
Step 1
In a mortar, add the turmeric, cinnamon, grated ginger, cardamom, nutmeg and coconut oil and grind with a pestle to form a paste, adding one or two teaspoons of the chamomile tea if you need to loosen it.
-
Step 2
Heat the almond milk in a pan with the clove until warmed through, then either discard the clove or leave it in to infuse a little longer.
-
Step 3
There is enough spice paste for two cups, so you can either share with another or save half for the next night. With half in a mug, pour over the remaining chamomile tea and the hot almond milk, warming up more in a saucepan if you need to, then drink while warm.
