Sometimes it’s good to take stock and think about whether your happiness is coming second too often.
It’s important to set aside some time for self care – why not have a go at our 30 day self care challenge? You can start at any time and it can help you to focus on your needs more.
Balance your responsibilities
If you have a family or relatives that need care, you can find that your own needs become overlooked entirely.
If getting some time alone to recharge is too difficult, try to think about small ways to bring mindfulness into your day. It can be something as simple as practising meditation when you first wake up in the morning or taking a few minutes to meditate in the shower.
Reflect on your responsibilities. What do you actually need to do and what could you cut back on? Do you commit yourself to any activities that you don’t really want to do?
It’s not a shameful thing to admit that you need a bit of time to look after yourself, or to spend more time with family and friends.
We’ve put together a quick quiz so that you can find out if you need to spend more time looking after yourself.
